User Groups

A user group can be used for restricting access to artifacts. Only members of a user group can see artifacts and editors can see and change artifacts that have access restriction for that user group. A user group can also be assigned to a category. Then all artifacts that are in that category and sub categories will automatically be restricted. Administrators of the user group are the only ones allowed to add and remove members of the user group. Functional Test admin users are not included in the user group restrictions and can access and modify all artifacts including user groups.

Complete the following steps to add or update a user group:

  1. Select the User groups item under Configuration in the left menu.

  2. Click the Add button or select an existing user group from the list and click the Edit toggle.

  3. Add or remove members, editors or administrators.

  4. Click the Create/Update button.
