Introduction to Reports

Abend-AID Fault Analytics stores fault data from various sources such as Abend-AID products. These faults are stored in a database, either Microsoft SQL Server or DB2 for z/OS. Fault Analytics generates reports based on the information in this database.

You can create reports tailored to any situation or work group by building your own database queries that include specific fault details.

A set of predefined reports enables you to drill down quickly from a system view to individual fault items. Categories include faults by time, job, program-name, or error code. Reports can also be viewed in many chart formats, such as pie charts and bar graphs.

Reports allows you to:

  • View various reports.

  • Schedule reports to be generated at specific intervals.

  • E-mail a link to a report.

Customizing Management Reports

Fault Analytics collects event information on Mainframe systems. This information includes fault data such as program, error code, machine, and operating system. It also includes mainframe-specific data such as job name, accounting code, job class, job priority, and so on.

If these default reports do not meet your organization's specific needs, they can be easily customized to include other information critical to your needs. New reports can also be created.
