ACF*

ACF are the first three characters of module names in Computer Associates International's security product ACF2.

Hints

The following security issues might jeopardize regions:

  • The user address space must have security to read, write and update the Strobe sample data set

  • Most regions are designated as 'execute and read' for load libraries.

The problem that arises is Strobe uses load libraries in its concatenation during measurement sessions to map user or system modules. Security packages will not allow software packages to read the load libraries if they have been defined as 'execute only.' Under these circumstances, the region might give a 913 open error, which means the region could crash depending on security parameters.
