Connections

A connection specifies the location of the host and other settings of how to communicate with the Topaz for Total Test Host server and the database system. New connections are only created when new physical servers arrive. This can be z/OS machines, RD/T boxes and even a Linux/windows machine for simulating a mainframe. Connections are defined under Configuration > Connections, and only administrators can add and change them. Setting up connections is described in “Configuring Connections” in chapter “Configuring the Topaz for Total Test Repository Server” of the Compuware Web Products Installation and Configuration Guide. Also refer to the Enterprise Common Components Installation and Configuration Guide and Enterprise Common Components Advanced Configuration Guide for information how to configure HCI.
