DFHEIP

DFHEIP is the CICS EXEC interface program that initializes the EXEC interface structure (EIS). Each EXEC CICS command invokes DFHEIP (nucleus), which in turn invokes the appropriate interface processor. The processor

  • places command parameters to CICS control blocks

  • invokes the appropriate management module

  • returns data to the application

DFHEIP is invoked by all CICS application programs and there is no performance improvement possible that can reduce the CPU time this module uses.
