Pseudo-entity

A group of supervisory and service components of the operating system that are combined in the Performance Profile to make reports more concise. Components are grouped by function, and each group has a unique name that begins with the character ".". The Performance Profile defines four classes of pseudo-entities: pseudo-activities, pseudo-modules, pseudo-sections, and pseudo-transactions.
