DFHICP

DFHICP is the CICS Interval Control Program. It provides time management services, such as those requested by:

  • EXEC DELAY

  • EXEC POST

  • EXEC START

  • EXEC RETRIEVE

  • EXEC CANCEL

  • ASKTIME

  • FORMATTIME

  • WAIT EVENT

An interval control element is created for each time-dependent request received by the interval control program. These ICEs are chained from the CSA in expiration of time-of-day sequence.
