DFHIRP

DFHIRP is the CICS interregion communication program. It passes data from one region to another in the same CEC.

The programs in the regions are usually CICS programs, although DFHIRP does not assume this to be the case.

When the access method is MVS cross-memory, (ACCESSMETHOD(XM) in the CONNECTION definition), DFHXMP is used, although DFHIRP will perform initialization and termination. If cross-memory services are not used, communication is performed by DFHIRP running as an SVC.
