DFSMNTR0

Module DFSMNTR0 is the IMS DCMONITOR Formatting Routine. When the IMS DCMONITOR is active (/TRACE SET ON MON ALL command), this module will be invoked whenever a trace record is formatted. This module also gathers VSAM and OSAM bufferpool statistics, and for some trace records will invoke module DFSDSTA0 in the DL/I region for database I/O wait times and program isolation (PI) locking wait times.

Hints

The IMS DCMONITOR, while very efficient, has some overhead, so it should not be left on all the time. It monitors its own CPU use and reports this when the monitor reports are produced by program DFSUTR20.
