DFSZD210

Module DFSZD210 is the GSAM BSAM dataset processing module. The GSAM controller DFSZDC00 invokes it for GSAM BSAM processing, and GSAM BSAM open/close routine DFSZD110 invokes it to purge output buffers when a dataset is closed.

This module processes reads and writes for fixed, variable, and undefined record formats. It also repositions GSAM files during an extended restart (XRST) call and purges output buffers during an extended checkpoint (CHKP) call. There is special logic for unit record devices types that do not normally support this kind of processing.
