DSNIZLDR retrieves compression dictionary pages and prepares them for use.

Hints

Evaluate the effectiveness of compression in reducing DASD costs against the CPU cost associated with data compression (DSNIZLDC) and data expansion (DSNIZLDE). Inspect the PAGESAVE column of SYSIBM.SYSTABLEPART and the PCTROWCOMP columns of SYSIBM.SYSTABLES and SYSIBM.SYSTABLESTATS.

Check to see if the tablespace specifies 'CLOSE YES. The compression data dictionary is loaded and verified when the dataset is opened.
