DFHTMP

DFHTMP is the CICS table management program that locates, adds, deletes, locks, and unlocks entries in certain CICS tables, such as the FCT, AFCT, DSNT, and TCT. Because fast access is needed to these tables, DFHTMP employs a hashing algorithm to locate table entries. DFHTMP will dynamically adjust hash tables to optimize table searches.

Hints

Unused entries in CICS tables such as the terminal control table, TCT, can increase CPU use during table searches. Eliminate unused entries.
