CCATCVT1

CCATCVT1 is a module within Abend-Aid, a product of Compuware Corporation, which can function in the batch and online environments.

Hints

CCATCVT1 frequently consumes CPU in CICS regions. You can eliminate this CPU use with the Abend-Aid SHOW TRACE option. This option is checked each time to determine whether or not a trace record needs to be written. (CCATCVT1 and CCARTRAC are invoked each time a trace record is written.)

If the option is set to NO, Abend-Aid filters out any of its own records before it writes a trace record. Setting the option to YES means every record is written, including Abend-Aid's own records. This eliminates the CPU consumed by the checking process when SHOW TRACE is set to NO. However, in the event of an abend, Abend-Aid information is interspersed with the TRACE information, which makes the dumps difficult to interpret.
