IEAVRT05

IEAVRT05 is the accumulated CPU time service routine, used when the TIMEUSED macro is issued. The TIMEUSED macro returns the total CPU time or VECTOR time used by the current work unit (TCB or SRB) up to the time the macro is issued. The TIMEUSED macro is located in the SYS1.MACLIB.

Hints

High CPU in IEAVRT05 is often associated with traces or monitor products that measure CPU use. Strobe measurements of DB2 applications often show high CPU in IEAVRT05 when DB2 Accounting Class II trace is enabled. If possible, turn off or modify this trace to reduce CPU use.
