SVC 047

SVC 047 is a Type 2 SVC issued by the timer service routine STIMER/STIMERM SET. It uses the time-of-day clock, clock comparator, and CPU timer to schedule activity after a specified interval or time of day. The STIMER/STIMERM SET routine sets a requested time interval that expires after the specified time has elapsed.

Hints

It is unusual to see CPU or wait reported to SVC 047, except in on-line regions that process only at timed intervals. Use the attribution reports to find the location in the application program that issues the call. Determine if it is necessary to only process at timed intervals.
