IMS Preload

The IMS Preload report provides an indication of the usage of modules listed in the DFSMPLxx member during the measurement period. The report can be used to determine if modules in the DFSMPLxx were used during measurement. It can also assist in balancing region performance and memory overhead used in making modules resident that were included from DFSMPLxx.

For each module listed in the IMS Preload Modules report, iStrobe identifies the following:

  • Module provides the name of the module.

  • Activity indicates whether or not the module was accessed during the measurement.

  • Module Preloaded identifies whether or not the module has been preloaded into the IMS region.

  • Size (Bytes) identifies the decimal size of the load module.

  • RMODE identifies the module's residency mode.

  • AMODE identifies the module's addressing mode.

  • DDNAME identifies the ddname from where the module was loaded.

  • Dataset Name identifies the dataset name from where the module was loaded.

  • Link-Edit Attributes identifies the module link attributes.
