DFSFXC30

DFSFXC30 is the IMS Sync Point Manager. It coordinates all of the synchronization point processing in an IMS environment. A synchronization point might occur as the result of any one of the following:

·    normal program termination

·    abnormal program termination

·    CHKP call

·    SYNC call

·    GU call to the I/O PCB

·    ROLB call

·    internal IMS ROLB call, for example if a deadlock is detected and a 'BC' or 'FD' status would be returned instead of a U777 abend

Hints

Most of the work for synchronization point processing is not done in module DFSFXC30. This module coordinates the function of the synchronization point processors.
