SVC 007

SVC 007 is a Type 2 SVC issued by the XCTL macro. This macro  gets LOCAL and CMS locks and calls program IGC007 in load module CSVXCT.

The macro obtains a usable copy of a requested module and builds the control blocks necessary for the dispatcher to pass control to that module. Control is transferred to the module and is not returned to the issuer of the XCTL macro.

Hints

It is unusual to see high processing in SVC 007. If you do, it indicates a long chain of program transfers. Check the attribution reports for the locations where transfer is issued.
