Integration with BMC

Strobe integration with solutions from BMC enables you to quickly and easily identify those tuning opportunities having the greatest impact on your monthly software licensing costs by applying BMC Cost Analyzer’s visual mapping to the detailed batch and transaction information provided by Compuware Strobe. These opportunities can include moving workloads to non-peak periods, running IBM subsystems on fewer LPARs, and capping LPAR utilization. Such integration also makes cost management easier by allowing you to invoke Strobe data collection directly from BMC MainView.

BMC Mainview

Compuware's iStrobe and BMC's MainView transforms performance data into actionable intelligence aimed at increasing system availability and improving application performance. BMC Mainview users have the ability to configure access to the BMC Mainview server from within iStrobe. Once configured, BMC Mainview Explorer functionality is available from the myStrobe screen.

BMC Cost Analyzer for zEnterprise

Seamless integration between BMC Cost Analyzer for zEnterprise (CAzE) and iStrobe allows users to identify and act on tuning opportunities that can reduce monthly license charge (MLC) costs. The BMC CAzE option allows BMC CAzE users to launch iStrobe directly from BMC's MainView or Cost Analyzer for zEnterprise to quickly and easily identify tuning opportunities that will have the greatest impact on monthly software licensing costs.
