CPX*

CPX are the first three characters of Computer Associates International's product, CA-Optimizer/Optimizer II. The CA-Optimizer consists of three VSE or four MVS/VM modules that optimize IBM ANSI COBOL object code, detect possible bugs, and analyze COBOL programs. In the MVS/VM environments, the fourth module reports in detail on each of the load modules in the system library.

Hints

The DETECT option in the CA-Optimizer product generates three reports to be used in debugging and uses a considerable amount of CPU.

To turn the CA-Optimizer Analyzer off when compiling, the option COPT=NOPT is needed.
