The 3270 Optimizer products from BMC Software compress data streams to and from 3270 terminals to reduce response time and line utilization.

Hints

3270 Optimizer products include an option to control the amount of compression to perform, as well as other options such as tracing. Evaluate the trade-off of CPU time used to do the compression against the savings in transmission time. Avoid redundant compression techniques. Consult the vendor for options.
