DFHZCA

DFHZCA is the VTAM working set module. It consists of several modules and performs the following functions:

  • activate scan function (DFHZACT)

The four TCTTE (terminal control table terminal entry) activity queues (activate, log, wait, and NACP) are scanned and processed as necessary.

  • GETMAIN and FREEMAIN functions (DFHZGET and DFHZFRE)

Storage areas, such as RPLs, NIBs, and buffer lists required by other CICS- VTAM interface modules, are GETMAINed and FREEMAINed.

  • manipulation of the TCTTE activity queue (DFHZQUE)

TCTTE entries are added to or removed from the queue, although other modules may be updating the queue asynchronously.

  • change the mode of a session with a terminal and canceling unsatisfied RECEIVE request (DFHZRST).
