JES*

JES stands for the Job Entry Subsystem. The JES accepts work, prepares it for execution on MVS, handles printed output, and purges completed work from the system.

Hints

Two JES2 modules, HASPJOS and HASJES20, may have high concentrations of CPU activity. If this is true, evaluate JES2 parameters, such as the "preselection" printer parameter, to determine the possibility of changing it to "NO", and put the remote queue numbers for more active printers on the top of the print queue.
