DSNIPSI

Module DSNIPSI locates or creates a Page Set Control Block (PSCB) for an index. If the index is currently open or in use within Db2, the block already exists and needs only to be located. Otherwise DSNIPSI must create a block. Locating an existing block should cause an insignificant amount of processing. Creating a control block uses somewhat more overhead; however, the amount of CPU time used by this module will be insignificant unless many PSCBs had to be created.
